Gentle Lunar Flow

  • Monday nights 6:00-7:15
The ancient and timeless wisdom of the yoga tradition teaches us that the Moon offers us it's healing and cooling rays of rejuvenation. Come absorb the Lunar, intuitive energy and receive the much needed healing you deserve. Through a gentle series of grounding poses, you will unlock your lower back and hips, and tap into your body's forgotten ability to let go and to rest. This class focuses on restoring strength and harmony to the body and mind. Poses are embodied for longer periods, in order to give time for full and total release. We practice in soft gentle light and finish with a candlelight Savasana, or deep relaxation. Come unwind. Perfect for beginners!

Dharma Yoga
Shiva Namaskar Vinyasa

  • A challenging and physically absorbing vinyasa series created by Sri Dharma Mittra. It reintegrates the flow of prana through the spinal column and emanates deep into all areas of the physical, metabolic, intuitive, and bliss bodies. It promotes harmony within all these layers so a concentrated state of radiant health is achieved. The highest crowning meditative asanas, pranayama (breathing techniques), and yoga nidra (psychic sleep), which are embedded in the deep roots of Dharma Mittra's teachings, are imparted to the student.

Raja Vinyasa Meditation

  • An introduction to traditional Raja Yoga meditation based on Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. The class begins with warm-ups and stretching, followed by several moderate vinyasa series. This is preparation for the focus of the class, which is on pranayama (breathing exercises) and seated meditation practices. The meditations are reasonably short, mostly to familiarize students with tools and techniques that they can then adapt for use at home.

In classical yoga, meditation is concentration on the Divine. Accordingly, this is a spiritual class, incorporating prayer, intention, mantra, and chanting.

No prior experience with meditation is necessary. A basic knowledge of asana (postures) is helpful as the instruction in the class will primarily be on pranayama and meditation.

Private Classes

  • Great for those who want to practice yoga in their own homes. During a private class you will receive instruction which is completely tailored to your needs, at a time that is convenient for you. This is an excellent choice for those people who are just beginning and would like to have extra time for explanations and questions about alignment, body mechanics and breathing techniques. A private class can be a gateway for those who need help choosing which group class is right for them.
